About Us

Heart of Sherwood was founded on August 25th 2001. We are seven writers who, using the medium of a Yahoo group, write collaborative fanfic, based on Robin of Sherwood.

Whilst we like to stay true to the spirit and feel of Robin of Sherwood, we are also interested in exploring and developing the characters further, as well as adding several of our own creation characters into our fanfic, hopefully blending them into the story in such a way that it seems they could have possibly featured in the tv series. 

We do not write slash because we personally believe that it is not right to slash Kip Carpenter's characters who weren't originally intended that way by him. We like to be original in our storylines and try to avoid the usual RoS fanfic themes.  Consider this a slightly different version of RoS, set post-Time of the Wolf.

All characters apart from Rhiannon, Timothy and Adela (plus some peripheral characters in the form of assorted villagers, townsfolk, villains and household servants at Huntingdon) are owned by Richard Carpenter, HTV and Goldcrest - we just borrowed them in order to write and have some fun creating some RoS fanfic to keep the legend alive!  No copyright infringement is intended, and absolutely no profit is made from this site or from our writing.
